What is CRE?

Christian Religious Education (also known as 'Bible In Schools') is when one or more volunteers go into a school and teach a class or large group.

Teachers come from, and are supported by local churches. CEC trains and accredits voluntary teachers and provides them with suitable resources.

Single Class Format: Lessons are usually 30 minutes, once a week - often from 9-9:30am. The curricula endorsed by CEC encourages children to develop solid values through teaching the basics of Christian belief.

Large Group Format: These are assembly type programmes with one or more volunteers presenting an interactive lesson.
