What is State School Chaplaincy?
What is State School Chaplaincy?
State school chaplains provide a safe, caring, supportive Christian presence for everyone involved in a school, including students, staff and (when appropriate) the wider school community.
They are not there to promote a church or church group, or to evangelise in the school. Rather, they are available to the whole school community to provide 'pastoral' care. They listen to those with needs, giving support and encouragement.
They give children time, and encourage them to look for solutions to their problems.

The Chaplain is employed for 3 days per week. The payment for salary is covered by 3 different contribution sources.
