CARE Course

Initial application

Applicants to CARE courses will have filled out an initial application form, provided three references, and will be interviewed before being selected to attend the CARE course. Acceptance for the course is dependent upon all paperwork and the interview being completed.

 

In the course you can expect

Please note that the course begins a 9 month journey of assessment with pre course reading assessments and post course assessments.

The actual course comprises of lectures, discussions, role-plays and panels. It includes input from school, governments and community agencies and visits to schools.

Plus living, eating, sharing, praying and playing with people from other denominations who share the same call.

 

 

Upcoming CARE course dates

Wellington:

In Wellington we run a residential (live in) course which runs Monday to Thursday. To register please contact your local Regional Advisor. Details of their next course are below:

Where: Salvation Army Booth College of Mission, 20 William Booth Grove, Upper Hutt
When: 17th - 20th August 2010
Cost: $650 if payment and application forms are received or postmarked 5th July. After this date the fee will be $700.
The non refundable deposit of $100 is required with your registration.
The cost covers accommodation, meals, tutor expenses, materials and resources. If this is a problem please let us know. Initially you need to contact your local Regional Advisor for support. A non refundable deposit of $100 is required with your registration at least 4 weeks prior to course commencement.
2011 Dates: We are planning to hold CARE courses in the first and third term.

Auckland:

Where: CEC Auckland office- 60 Rockfield Rd, Penrose, Auckland
When: Friday 11, Saturday 12, Wednesday 16 and Saturday 19 March 2011
Cost: $350 per person
