An Introduction to Creative Arts TherapyRotorua 2 days of experiential multi modality exploration Creative Arts Therapy offers a multi modal approach using Visual Arts, Dramatherapy, Music, Creative Writing, Storytelling, Movement and Sandplay. Whilst the weekends have a specific focus they will incorporate a variety of modalities. Introduction to Sandplay TherapyNorthland Cost for each workshop per person is $300 which includes 2 nights accommodation (Thursday/Friday) at the beach. Each weekend is limited to 6 participants. Concession rates are available; a deposit of $75 is required to secure a place. World Suicide Prevention Forum 2010
Understanding and Managing BehaviourDates and Venues Henderson 6-7 August 2010 Participants will learn how to modify behaviour by stopping the bad and rewarding the good. The labels that children are given will be explored as will the way in which these influence behaviour. Caregivers will look at what their own ‘triggers’ are and how to manage them so that they do not unwittingly strengthen undesirable behaviour in children.

It focuses on developing an understanding of the impact on the victims, the characteristics of people who sexually offend and what leads people to commit sexual offences. The participants will also be able to reflect on their practice and develop a victim centred approach to look at how to do the investigation, assessment and seek the best intervention more effectively.
