(3 December 1954 - 15 November 2009)

Christine May-Whitcombe, CRE and Chaplaincy Advisor for the Tauranga region went to be with Jesus on Sunday 15^th November. Christine had served God through CEC for many years as a CRE teacher and had become Advisor in February 2008. CEC’s personnel are saddened by Christine’s death and offer our condolences and assurance of prayer to Christine’s family- husband Bruce, Crystal, Daniel and Lara.

CEO Paul Young, Petrea Medland National Manager, Rosemary Carey, Trust Board member and several volunteers from both the Tauranga and Rotorua regions were able to attend her funeral service on Friday 20^th November. This service brought glory to God as several people had opportunity to share about the impact Christine’s faith had on them. We praise God for the influence and impact of Christine’s ministry and look to Him to lead CEC as they look to finding a way forward without Christine at the helm.
